Having been so excited to see Barcelona again, I began looking at other blogs and sites about the city before leaving Australia, and stumbled upon Hola Yessica! I can’t thank Jess enough for the recommendation of the Alaire Terrace Bar. Here we sat, watching the sun go down, enjoying a cocktail or two with some of the best tapas I’ve had, looking out at Gaudí’s La Pedrera (Casa Milà) and the unmistakable silhouette of the Sagrada Familia in the distance.

Seeing these iconic buildings and the rest of the city light up as the sun set was one of my favourite moments from the entire trip, and something I felt so blessed to share with Christian and his mother Jane.

Where:

  • The Alaire Terrace Bar sits on the roof of the Condes de Barcelona Hotel and is open everyday from 6pm – 2am
    C/ Passeig de Gràcia, 73 8a Planta
Getting there: Alaire Terrace Bar is just a short stroll from Rambla de Catalunya. The nearest metro station is the Diagonal
