What more can I say really – I was back in Paris, my fairy tale city, with the man I love and four wonderful days ahead of us to slip into Parisian life. Like many others, I’ve had a longstanding obsession/love affair with this incredible capital, and continue to dream of what it might be like to live there one day (I just need to brush up on my French!). But until that day comes (if it ever does), we ‘lived’ in a small Parisian apartment which I booked through homaway.co.uk. We were both blown away by the little space we would call ours for the next few days – it far surpassed our expectations and we instantly fell in love! With a small loft bedroom, a gorgeous, bright kitchen and two sweet balconies overlooking boulevard Port-Royal, it was hard to think of leaving it to explore outside.

But outside we went, and we discovered this little gem was surrounded by plenty worth looking at. There were countless cafes, bakeries and restaurants, as well as pharmacies and a supermarket. The landmark of the Latin quarter, rue Mouffertard, is just around the block and hosts daily open-air markets. The Luxemburg Gardens, Sorbonne and Pantheon are just a short walk, as is the Notre Dame.

The owners certainly helped to make our stay memorable, with a number of personal recommendation on sights to see and places to eat. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

  1. Great pics. Looks like you had a really nice apartment there. I miss Paris. Even though it is insanely priced, one day I will have a miniature apartment there to crash at whenever I return to visit.
